Reinhold F. Wirth to Lead Optomec’s Engineering Team
Albuquerque, New Mexico May 1, 2007: Reinhold Wirth has recently joined Optomec as Vice President of Engineering to lead efforts in the further development of LENS and M3D additive manufacturing systems.
Wirth joined Optomec after working for Kulicke and Soffa as Director of Development Engineering in the electronic packaging testing division in Gilbert, Arizona. Prior to his involvement with Kulicke and Soffa, Wirth worked at the GE Global Research Center in Niskayuna, New York for 22 years where he served as Key Design Lead on Next Generation Products. Wirth holds over 12 patents in world-changing technologies including flat panel AM LCD’s and digital x-ray imaging.
