Optomec’s Intellectual Property portfolio continues to experience growth. In 2012, two patents were issued to our foreign portfolio in South Korea and China. Their coverage includes inventions in the passive structures field and the deposition of materials using multiple sheaths and capillaries. This brings our total of foreign patents to twelve. In the United States, two patents were granted this year. Such inventions cover methods for laser processing of heat-sensitive mesoscale deposits comprising oxygen-sensitive materials, and the method and apparatus for miniature aerosol jets and aerosol jet arrays. Our current domestic portfolio contains twenty-one patents. Our pending foreign portfolio is large and many more patents are expected to issue in the near future, providing greater intellectual property coverage to our customers.
